About Nala and Friends
Our Rescue
We are a foster-based rescue in San Antonio, Texas. Our mission is to get as many dogs to their forever homes. With the surge in stray population in our city, we work hard to look for adopters in other parts of the country. Our dogs are saved from rehoming situations, they are strays, many coming from kill shelters, and at times, they are born in our care after rescuing a pregnant mom. We are firm believers that all dogs, no matter age, health condition, breed or color, deserve the opportunity to be saved. We are strict on our vetting protocols, requiring each dog of age to be: tested for heartworms, fully vetted to date, and altered before transport and/or adoption. Each dog that goes on transport receives a health certificate before departure.

Ways to Help
Adoption Process
We are a dog rescue based in San Antonio, TX, with all dogs available for adoption throughout the US and into Canada. The adoption fee includes the transport cost and health certificate. All our dogs are fully vetted to age, altered, microchipped and receive a health certificate for transport. Complete our adoption application!
Volunteer or Foster With Us!
We are always in need of loving foster homes. When you apply with us, you may designate the types of dogs that work for you. We are always short of fosters for large dogs and those with special needs. Our rescue pays for all costs including food and medical care, you just have to provide the love. Complete our Foster Form!
If you're unable to foster, you can sign up to help in other ways such as transporting dogs from one location to another or organizing adoption events. Just fill out the Contact Us form below.
